Red Bull Salzburg: This team is one of the more exciting teams to watch because of how many goals they score. The question is now, can they have that same type of success against the big boys? Marsch has this team playing with a ton of confidence and they truly believe they can go into Anfield and not just get a result like a draw, but they feel deep down that they can win. They aren’t going to play more defensive. They are going to, as Marsch told me, try to impose their will.
Champions League holders Liverpool will hope to bounce back from their opening Group E defeat to Napoli when they host Salzburg at Anfield tonight.

The Reds are heavy favourites to return to winning ways on the European stage, but Jurgen Klopp insists there is no room for complacency.

The visitors play a similar brand of football to Klopp’s Liverpool, while their 19-year-old striker Erling Haaland became the third-youngest player to net a Champions League hat-trick in their 6-2 win over Genk in their opening group game.
Having begun their Champions League season with defeat in Naples, Liverpool are looking to get back on track as they look to defend their crown.

Salzburg are their opponents, with the Austrians travelling to Anfield on the back of an excellent Champions League opener, Belgian side Genk dismissed emphatically 6-2.

Erling Haaland notched a hat-trick in that game, and appears to be over a bout of illness and could start on Merseyside.

Salzburg have plenty of forward threat, and it could be a high-scoring affair, though Liverpool will be confident after seven successive Premier League victories to start the season.
Reigning champions Liverpool have started the defence of their Champions League title in rather inauspicious fashion.

Group E looks an open-and-shut case on paper, with Jurgen Klopp’s men and Napoli far more proficient than Champions League newcomers Red Bull Salzburg and Genk when it comes to playing at an elite level.

And yet, you still want to get off to a good start no matter who your opponents are.

Liverpool were well below par in their opener in Naples, and while Napoli themselves weren’t at their best they did just about enough to claim a 2-0 victory, with a controversial penalty put away by Dries Mertens followed by a second from Fernando Llorente.

Like we say, it’s early days in Champions League 2019/20 and there’s still 15 points up for grabs to each team. But Liverpool won’t want to come out of this clash with Red Bull Salzburg at Anfield on October 2 without a win.

Now, football bettors who don’t follow the beautiful game in all corners of the continent might be thinking that the English team have got a simple job in front of them here.
Jurgen Klopp’s side are looking for their first Champions League win of the season and our tipster is backing them to get it in a goal-filled clash
Liverpool can get their Champions League defence back on track when they host Red Bull Salzburg on Wednesday night.

The Reds opened their European campaign with a 2-0 defeat at Napoli two weeks ago but have not lost a game at Anfield since September 2018, winning all three of their Premier League games there this season.

Their Austrian opponents will not be pushovers, though. Jesse Marsch’s side trounced Genk 6-2 in their first ever Champions League group stage match, and have scored 40 goals in just nine league games this term.
Liverpool will be hoping to collect their first points in this season’s Champions League when they welcome Red Bull Salzburg to Anfield on Wednesday night.

A late showing from Napoli saw the Reds defeated 2-0 as Group E got underway, Dries Mertens and Fernando Llorente scoring to the delight of the Stadio San Paolo crowd. In domestic matters, however, Jurgen Klopp’s recruits have been immaculate.

Dries Mertens
Georginio Wijnaldum’s fortunate winner at Sheffield United took Liverpool to 16 straight Premier League victories, of which seven have come at the start of the 2019/20 campaign.

Salzburg were triumphant in their first pool stage game, Erling Håland grabbing a hat-trick in their 6-2 destruction of Belgian side Genk.
Similar to last season, Liverpool suffered a 2-0 loss to Napoli at Stadio San Paolo in their Champions League opener, meaning that Jurgen Klopp’s troops are desperate to get back on course. The Reds are likely to go all guns blazing at Salzburg on Wednesday evening and we predict that they are going to pick up vital three points from their first home game of the process.

As always, a man to watch in the home team will be Mohamed Salah, whilst Sadio Mane is likely to recover in time to face Salzburg. The Austrian champions rolled over Genk 6-2 on their debut in the Champions League group stages, but they face an uphill task in Wednesday’s football match against the star-studded English club. Liverpool recorded seven wins in previous eight home games in the elite competition, which is yet another reason why home win should be considered.

Another impressive player who emigrated to Switzerland, Xherdan Shaqiri is a midfielder with excellent technical qualities, very strong in taking players on and creating chances for his teammates, while also being a danger from set pieces. The Serbian-born footballer formed an excellent midfielder pairing with Granit Xhaka at FC Basel, before making a high-profile move to Bayern Munich in the summer of 2012.

Shaqiri went on to prove a great deal of potential at Allianz Arena, scoring 11 goals in 52 Bundesliga matches, but he decided to leave in search of first team football, first joining Inter Milan and then moving to Stoke City. It was at Britannia Stadium that the attacking midfielder rediscovered his form and if he continues playing at such a high level, it won’t be long before he returns to the biggest stage.

Even when he was not playing regularly at club level, Shaqiri would always reserve his best performances for the national team, as witnessed by 17 goals in first 50 caps. The midfielder was especially impressive at the 2014 World Cup finals, where he scored no fewer than three goals.

HIGHLIGHTED TEAM (SALZBURG):

Salzburg are a professional football club that compete in Austrian Bundesliga. The club’s main sponsors are Red Bull and, as a result, they are well known under the name of the Red Bulls. The club was founded on 13 September, 1933 and they won their first Austrian Bundesliga trophy in 1994.

The Red Bulls welcome their rivals at Red Bull Arena, the stadium that was opened on 8 March, 2008. The capacity of the venue is 31 895. Salzburg participated in the 1993/1994 UEFA Cup final, but Italian side proved to be a big catch for the Austrian outfit. Inter recorded a 2-0 win over Salzburg in the final (on aggregate).

Liverpool: The Reds just had one of those games where nothing seemed to go right and the ball just wouldn’t go in … until it did thanks to a goalkeeper blunder in the 1-0 win at Sheffield United this weekend. They’ll feel good about returning to their goal-scoring ways in this one against a defense that is strong but certainly beatable. Their opponent has conceded in five straight games, allowing two goals in three of them.

Canada vs New Zealand Live

Canada vs New Zealand Live :: Having soundly seen off southern hemisphere rivals South Africa 23-13 in their opening 2019 Rugby World Cup game, New Zealand have what should be a much easier run out for their second pool match today. As has been the way so far with the fancied teams, New Zealand look set to rotate their squad for their second World Cup match. The most intriguing line-up change will see siblings Scott, Beauden and Jordie Barrett all start for the All Blacks. Remarkable as that is, its not the first time a trio of brothers have started a World Cup match – Tonga’s Fe’ao, Elisi and Manu Vunipola were all on the same side against Scotland in 1995.

Canada had plenty of chances that they failed to take against Italy in their opening game and ended up getting thrashed. Unfortunately for them, New Zealand will be even less forgiving today

One of the last teams to qualify for the 2019 Rugby World Cup, Canada’s reward is a matchup against the All Blacks. Here is everything you need to know on the contest.

What They Said

New Zealand Coach – Steve Hansen

In a World Cup that has seen some shocks already, Hansen acknowledged the All Blacks will be looking to avoid that saying; “If you disrespect the opponent you’re playing you’ll get a punch on the nose, we did that in Perth. We can’t afford to do that again.

“Our aim is to win the next two pool matches against Canada and Namibia, as well as continuing to grow our game and manage the workload across the group. With two games four days apart, it’s obvious that we need to use our whole squad.

Our main focus is just to keep improving on our performance. That means we keep creating those opportunities that we did against Italy, but this time we just want to finish them.

“Playing against the best team in the world is a great opportunity for us to really challenge ourselves and a big result for us would be if we can improve on our performance from Italy.

“You just got to acknowledge who you’re playing against and that’s the main thing and then after that, concentrate on yourself, on your own performance, on the team performance.

France vs United States Live

France vs United States Live :: Despite winning their opening game 23-21 against Argentina, France have made a whopping 12 changes to their starting XV after only just avoiding defeat with Pumas fullback Emiliano Boffelli missing a last-minute penalty. Camille Lopez, who landed the match-winning drop goal, comes in at first five-eighth.

France and the United States play their second match of the Rugby World Cup in Pool C and a nearby typhoon is likely to make for wet and wild conditions at the Fukuoka Hakatanomori Stadium.

Watch Rugby World Cup 2019 Live

England top their pool with a maximum 10 points and France would take a giant step towards a ninth successive World Cup quarterfinal appearance should they record a bonus-point win over the USA as expected.

The USA were thumped 45-7 by England in their first game but they showed plenty of heart and determination against a far superior side and the weather in Fukuoka could even out a contest the flaky French are expected to win comfortably. The two nations have played eight tests – the last in 2004 – and once at a World Cup in 2003 in Australia when France won 41-14, while the USA recorded one win (17-3) over Les Bleus in the final of the 1924 Olympic Games in Paris.
France vs USA Preview, Predictions & Betting Tips

France can build on their opening 2019 Rugby World Cup victory with another against the USA at the Fukuoka Hakatanomori Stadium. It will be a huge shock if they don’t manage to beat the USA, but rain and the need to rest key individuals could bring the score closer than many believe.

France Form & Team News

France came through a bruising encounter to beat Argentina 23-21 at the Tokyo Stadium in their opening fixture. This match against the USA offers the only real opportunity for France to rest players ahead of the knockouts should they qualify.

Unfortunately on the injury front things are not looking positive for the French side. Prop Demba Bamba and centre Wesley Fofana have both been put on a plane home with injury ruling them out of the tournament.

Reports suggest France are expected to make a few changes while more will be rested against Tonga next week. France have blown hot and cold throughout their history and did so again against Argentina, almost throwing away a solid first half lead.

They will be too strong for the USA but the North Americans will be physical in what looks like a wet weather match. Should the forecast be correct, points scoring won’t be easy and France don’t have the physicality to overpower USA like England eventually managed to do.

Les Blues are outright favourites at 1.015 while they can be backed at 2.00 to cover the -27 handicap. A draw will pay 51.00.

France vs argentina rugby world cup
France are likely to rest a few players for this match while they have also suffered a couple of key injuries (Getty Images)

USA Form & Team News

The USA will most likely field a full-strength side against France with their next match a week later. There have been no reports of serious injury following their 47-7 defeat to England at the Kobe Misaka Stadium.

Head coach Gary Gold was not too despondent with the opening showing of the USA. They matched the English physically for large parts but ran out of steam the longer the game went on. Against France they will face a far lesser physical challenge so I expect them to perform better with ball in hand.

There is a high probability of heavy rain for Fukuoka City on Wednesday with Typhoon Mitag heading for the city. While the Typhoon may miss the city itself, heavy rain is almost guaranteed which leads me to believe it will be a low scoring match.

The USA can be backed to cause a huge upset against France at 15.00 but the handicap market is where my focus is. There is value for me in the USA to cover the +27 handicap at 1.83.

France vs USA Head to Head

France and the USA have only met on seven occasions with the French winning six. USA’s only victory came at the 1924 Olympics. Their last match was in 2004 and France won 39-31 at the Dillion Stadium.

France vs USA Betting Odds

France are favourites at 1.015 which makes them unbackable but brings the handicap market into play. France can be backed at 2.00 to cover the -27 handicap and France -37 is valued at 3.75.

The USA are massive underdogs at 15.00 but their handicaps look very attractive. To cover the +27 handicap they are valued at 1.83 and USA +28 will pay 1.62.

France vs USA Match Up

With the weather around Fukuoka City means this will be a match-up between the forwards. The USA are very physical and could cause the French problems at set pieces and in collision areas. The tactical kicking game from both sides will be key.
France will look to long-serving number eight Louis Picamoles for inspiration as he captains his country for the first time against the United States in the World Cup’s ‘group of death’.

Les Bleus squeaked home 23-21 against Argentina in their first match and are hoping to press their advantage in the ultra-competitive Pool C, which also includes England, who beat the United States 45-7.

Coach Jacques Brunel has rung the chances for the clash in Fukuoka, on the southwestern tip of Japan, with only three players surviving from the nail-biting win over the Pumas.

Fly-half Camille Lopez, whose drop goal broke Pumas hearts, starts at 10, preferred this time to young gun Romain Ntamack.

Fresh from a 10-day break after the Argentina game, France have only four days to recover from playing the Eagles before facing a highly physical Tongan XV – not to mention the potential pool decider against eternal enemy England.

The United States put up respectable resistance to Eddie Jones’ powerful side in the opening game but coach Gary Gold was furious with his players, calling on them to improve “every aspect of their game” after the 45-7 defeat.

He has made five changes to the XV that started against England — the majority of them enforced by injury or suspension.

John Quill, who received the tournament’s first red card and was later suspended, has been replaced by Hanco Germishuys.

Bryce Campbell and Mike Teo have been named to replace the injured pair of Paul Lasike and Will Hooley.

And Eric Fry has been picked in place of David Ainu’u, who left the World Cup after sustaining a bad ankle injury.

After fears the game could be rescheduled due to a typhoon bearing down on Japan, World Rugby confirmed on Monday the match would go ahead as planned as the storm is weakening and passing to the north.

France will wear black armbands in honour of former president Jacques Chirac, who died on Thursday.

Prediction: France are tipped to win by a decent margin of 23 or more.

RWC 2019 live scores and result: France vs USA

The 2019 Rugby World Cup is less than a fortnight old and yet we’ve already witnessed more than our fair share of memorable moments. Hosts Japan shocking Ireland, Wales overpowering Australia and that intense match up between New Zealand and South Africa being just some of the awesome highlights.

It’s certainly fitting its billing as being one of the most even;y-matched tournaments in rugby union history. You can watch all the action, no matter where you are, by following our Rugby World Cup live stream guide below.

Unsurprisingly, the majority of tipsters are split between New Zealand, their neighbours Australia, and South Africa as to who will win the tournament.

2019 RUGBY WORLD CUP – WHERE AND WHEN
The 2019 Rugby World Cup kicked off on Friday, September 20 at the Ajinomoto Stadium in Chōfu, Tokyo when hosts Japan took on Russia. The tournament is set to end with the final on November 2 at the Nissan Stadium in Yokohama, Kanagawa Prefecture.

Scroll down to the bottom of this page for a full 2019 Rugby World Cup FAQ.

Nevertheless, the balance of power in the rugby world has shifted towards the northern hemisphere in recent years, with Wales, Ireland, and England all having been in and around the world number one ranking position, and Scotland not too far behind.

Or is this the year that one of the less fashionable nations step up and show what they can do? We all know how dangerous Argentina are, but what of Fiji, Georgia and the hosts themselves?

If you want to know where you’ll be able to watch every single match, we’ll tell you exactly where you can catch it online with a Rugby World Cup live stream and the broadcasters that are showing it absolutely FREE. No matter where on Earth you are, we’ll make sure you know where to catch the coverage.

How to watch the 2019 Rugby World Cup from outside your country
You don’t have to miss a single minute of the 2019 Rugby World Cup – even if you’re abroad and discover that your home broadcaster’s online coverage is geo-blocked (we hate it when that happens).

If that happens to you and you’re desperate to watch your domestic coverage – whether that be in the UK or Australia (where it’s free), New Zealand or the US (where it isn’t) or anywhere else in the world – there’s still a way to get it that doesn’t involve putting your security at risk with some dodgy, illegal stream from Reddit. You can simply use a VPN to login back to your country that is broadcasting the actions, and it’s really easy to do:

We’ve tested all of the major VPN services and we rate ExpressVPN as the absolute best, thanks to it’s killer combination of security, speed and simplicity to use. It’s also compatible with loads of streaming devices such as Amazon Fire TV Stick, Apple TV, Xbox and PlayStation, as well as Android and Apple mobiles. So to get that home broadcast and stay safer online, ExpressVPN is your best option (or one of the other best VPN services out there as listed below).

1. Express VPN (comes with a 30 day money back guarantee) This is the #1 rated best VPN in the world right now, with those previously mentioned levels of security, speed and compatibility putting it to the top of the list. You can try it out for a month for free or sign up for an annual plan to get 49% off and 3 months extra absolutely FREE.

2. NordVPN: SmartPlay tech makes NordVPN a great choice for streaming. It’s really affordable, too

3. IPVanish supports up to 10 devices, so great on the go

Once installed, you simply open the VPN app, hit ‘choose location’ and select the appropriate location – it’s super easy to do. Choose any country showing the Rugby World Cup and watch as if you were in that country.

RWC 2019 live scores and result: France vs USA

USA vs France Live

USA vs France Live :: France and the United States play their second match of the Rugby World Cup in Pool C and a nearby typhoon is likely to make for wet and wild conditions at the Fukuoka Hakatanomori Stadium.

Watch Rugby World Cup 2019 Live

England top their pool with a maximum 10 points and France would take a giant step towards a ninth successive World Cup quarterfinal appearance should they record a bonus-point win over the USA as expected.

Despite winning their opening game 23-21 against Argentina, France have made a whopping 12 changes to their starting XV after only just avoiding defeat with Pumas fullback Emiliano Boffelli missing a last-minute penalty. Camille Lopez, who landed the match-winning drop goal, comes in at first five-eighth.

Uefa Champions League
Team:  Tottenham Hotspur vs Bayern Munich

The 2019/20 UEFA Champions League is the 65th year of Europe’s top continental club competition, with the contest now whittled down to 32 teams all vying for a place in the 2020 Champions League Final in Istanbul.

Matchday 6 brings the last of the group games and while it’s crunch time for a few teams, there are plenty of others who are already sitting back and making plans for February.

It’s Liverpool and Chelsea with the squeaky bums this week. Fortunately, both clubs have fate in their own hands. A win apiece will see them qualify for the knockouts and quite possibly finish top of their respective groups too. While, on paper, that sounds pretty even, it’s definitely Liverpool who have the tougher task.

Jurgen Klopp and his men travel to the feet of the Austrian Alps for Tuesday’s early kick-off. Victory will keep Liverpool ahead of second-placed Napoli. A draw makes it less certain but still guarantees at least second spot.

Should Red Bull get the win, then things get interesting given that both teams would finish on 10 points and it then goes down to their head-to-head record instead of straight goal difference. Anything heavier than a one-goal difference in this second encounter could spell bad news for the ‘pool presuming that Napoli manage to beat bottom side Genk in Italy. One to keep your eyes.

As for Chelsea, they have what should be the easiest game of their round as they face one-point Lille at home. All the Blues need to do is better the result of Valencia who take group leaders Ajax in Amsterdam. Anything less and it’s Los Ches who get the nod through the head-to-head record.

Manchester City have Group C done and dusted. They’ll be taking some second-stringers and hopefully some young ‘uns over to Zagreb to play Dinamo on Wednesday in what should be an enjoyably technical and not entirely toothless encounter. The third-placed Croats sit just one point behind Shakhtar and need to beat Donetsk’s result in the other game to progress.

Spurs’s visit to the Allianz Arena is very much an encounter for Tottenham and Bayern fans only.  With five points between them and then another seven between Spurs and Red Star Belgrade, it’s as dead a rubber as it gets. If you want to check out the likes or rising Irish star Troy Parrott, Ryan Sessegnon and Giovanni Lo Celso, then tune in at 8pm on Wednesday.

Elsewhere, Inter vs Barca is the pick of the action. The Catalans are safe on the top of Group F but the Italians will likely need a good result to stay ahead of Dortmund who are level with them on seven points. That’s Tuesday night at 8pm.

There are no new rules for the group stage apart from the fact that VAR has been in force since the play-offs and will continue throughout the tournament. Should two teams be tied on points by the end of the group games, then they are separated according to the following criteria:

  • Points in head-to-head matches among tied teams
  • Goal difference in head-to-head matches among tied teams
  • Goals scored in head-to-head matches among tied teams
  • Away goals scored in head-to-head matches among tied teams
  • Goal difference in all group matches
  • Goals scored in all group matches
  • Wins in all group matches
  • Away wins in all group matches
  • Disciplinary points
  • UEFA club coefficient

Watch Champions League football anywhere in the world using a VPN

We’ll look at the TV and live stream options for UK and USA-based Champions League fans below, but even after spending all that money on a subscription you’re still not going to be able to watch the group stage from another country.

There are certain territories where the Champions League football is free to watch (you can find a full list of the free Champions League broadcasters here along with the pay channels too). So, if you’re away in one of these places, you may just need to tune in on your hotel TV or find a local bar.

Anywhere else and you’ll want to get yourself a VPN instead. A VPN (Virtual Private Network) can spoof an IP address which is local to the server you’d like to access. That way your service provider will think you’re in the correct country to do so and allow you to watch the Champions League on your subscription as if you were back home.

VPNs are also as useful for banking as they are at trying to watch video content or accessing websites people in your location are not supposed to do. They encrypt the data passing between you and the server, so that the information remains private.

So, whether you want to watch live football, enjoy another country’s Netflix library or just keep your browsing data private, then a VPN is well worth considering.

There are many VPN providers out there, with some more reliable and safe than others. As a rule, we’d suggest a paid-for service and would recommend the following:

– ExpressVPN

You can get three months free when you sign up to a year-long plan, bringing VPN access to smart devices including the Amazon Fire TV Stick, laptops, TVs and both Android and iOS mobiles and tablets. Express also offers a 30-day money-back guarantee.

– NordVPN

Which comes in at as little as $2.99 (£2.29) per month and features 24/7 assistance

Once you’ve made your choice, all you need to do is sign in to your VPN service through whichever device you’d like to use to watch the match. When prompted to select a server, you need to pick one which is based in the country whose content you’d like to access. Then navigate to the relevant video streaming app or website and you’re in.

Watch the Champions League live the UK

Rights to show the UEFA Champions League in the UK belong to BT Sport, whose long-term deal to broadcast all matches from UEFA club competitions means you’ll also be able to watch the Europa League. BT Sport also has the Bundesliga, which makes a subscription this season a very decent offer.

BT Sport for existing BT TV customers from just £6 from

Upgrading to all four BT Sport channels is no big deal if you’re already a BT TV customer and it’s even better if you’re on BT Broadband too. The former group can add the package for £10 per month, while it’s only £6 per month for the latter.

New BT broadband and BT TV customers will gain access to the coverage free of charge, while it costs £10 each month for existing customers. Sky TV users can also add BT Sport to their existing package from £25 a month, but that will not include any 4K viewing.

BT Sport for Sky TV customers from £10 per month

If you’ve got BT Broadband with Sky TV and want to add BT Sport, then you’re looking at only £15 per month extra for full access to the Champions League and all the other BT Sports in HD across four channels. A BT Sports app-only upgrade is £10 per month. For Sky broadband customers it’s £25 per month with a rolling contract option.

However you subscribe to BT Sport, though, you will get access to streams via the BT website and BT Sport app, so you can watch on the move within the UK or from abroad, using a VPN.

Watch the Champions League live in 4K

BT Sport does come in 4K if you’re hooked up to the BT Sport Ultra HD channel, but you’ll need to be a BT TV and BT Super Fast Fibre broadband user to get it. Ultra HD is not available on the Sky TV platform.

The situation is better for Virgin Media customers, though. You can enjoy all five BT Sports channels including BT Sport Ultra HD on channel 555.

BT Sports Superfast Fibre 2 + Max 4K for £60.99 £54.99 per month

Sign up to this pack and you’ll get everything BT has to offer. There’s the 4K-enabled box with 300 hours of recording space, 55 premium HD channels and 4K sports access too. The price includes line rental and it comes with a £80 gift card too. Not bad.

BT Sport Collection on Virgin Media for £18 per month

The BT Sport Collection on Virgin Media is a £18 bolt-on, at the time of writing. It brings coverage of football, rugby, cricket, UFC and more, plus access to BT Sport Ultra HD for 4K viewing. You can cancel the subscription at any time.

For 4K sports on BT TV, it’s a case of upgrading or purchasing the Max 4K package, which will cost you £20 a month to add to an existing BT subscription, or £54.99 for the full shebang if you’re a new customer starting from scratch.

Those on Virgin Media will need the Virgin V6 box and a 4K TV to make sure they’re getting the action at maximum resolution. With the basic Big Bundle, BT Sport is £18 per month but all five BT Sport channels, including Ultra HD, are included on the larger TV packages which start at £57 per month. Tottenham Hotspur vs Bayern Munich Live

MATCH INFO:
Date:
Wednesday 12 December, 2019
Event:

Man City vs Dinamo Zagreb Live

Man City vs Dinamo Zagreb Live :: Manchester City resume Champions League duties this evening as Dinamo Zagreb head to the Etihad. Manchester City started their group stage action off right against Shakhtar Donetsk two weeks ago. Man City didn’t even let Shakhtar Donetsk onto the board and left with a 3-0 victory. City will have a six-point leg up on Shakhtar Donetsk if they win again.

The match between the two teams is scheduled at 3 p.m. ET Tuesday, October 1st at Etihad Stadium, with the winner earning three points. Keep up with this and all the UEFA Champions League

Pep Guardiola’s side won their opening group match 3-0 at Shakhtar Donetsk, and the Catalan coach is determined to finally land the European Cup at City after being frustrated numerous times.

Guardiola is balancing his squad between European duties and attempting to reel in Premier League pace-setters Liverpool, which means the likes of Sergio Aguero and Bernardo Silva should feature against Dinamo.
Manchester City will return to Champions League action on Tuesday when they welcome Dinamo Zagreb to the Etihad Stadium.

City’s European campaign got off to a perfect start as they stormed to a 3-0 win over Shakhtar Donetsk last time out, and they will certainly be eager to pick up a similar result here.

FBL-EUR-C1-SHAKHTAR-MANCITY

As for Dinamo, they were one of the surprise packages from the first matchday, having stormed to a shock 4-0 win over Atalanta. They will be up for a challenge against City.

Here’s everything you need to know about the game.
This will be Manchester City’s first encounter with Dinamo Zagreb in European competition and their first ever such meeting with a Croatian side.

Dinamo Zagreb have never won away from home against English teams in all competitions in Europe, losing five of their seven trips to England (D2).

Manchester City have won their last four Champions League home games by an aggregate score of 19-4; they’ve never won five in a row in the competition. Indeed, City have lost only one of their last 11 home group stage matches (W9 D1 L1).

Manchester City celebrate a goal in their Champions League opening group game
Manchester City celebrate a goal in their Champions League opening group game
Dinamo Zagreb are winless in their last 15 Champions League away matches (D2 L13), losing each of the last 12. No side has ever lost 13 consecutive away games in the Champions League (Spartak Moscow also lost 12 between October 2000 and October 2006).

Manchester City’s 3-0 win over Shakhtar Donetsk was Pep Guardiola’s 30th managerial UEFA Champions League win by three or more goals – only Carlo Ancelotti (32 wins)
has more by that margin in the history of the competition.

Dinamo Zagreb ended a run of 11 consecutive Champions League losses with victory over Atalanta on MD1, only once have they won in successive games in the competition (back-to-back wins in November 1998).

Pep Guardiola says it will not be a disaster with Manchester City’s hierarchy if he does not win the Champions League this season.
Charlie’s prediction
We had a chuckle at the weekend about this. Pep Guardiola was resting Sergio Aguero, David Silva and Bernardo Silva, yet they still got the job done away at Everton. Aguero is his No 9 but Gabriel Jesus has found a bit of form. It was a tricky game – Manchester City never get it easy there. It was no surprise Raheem Sterling started, and he got himself on the scoresheet once again. Phil Foden needs more game-time, but the two Silvas and Aguero can come back in. He may try something defensively – Fernandinho may not be able to play three games in a week. I would not be surprised if it was a Champions League hat-trick for Aguero but Guardiola could make five or six changes and throw other people in that have something to show and prove.
Manchester City’s quest for a maiden Champions League crown continues on Tuesday night when they host Dinamo Zagreb at the Etihad Stadium exclusively on BT Sport.

Man City v Dinamo will be shown live at 7.15pm (8pm kick-off) on Tuesday 1 October on BT Sport 3 HD on TV and across our digital platforms.

MATCH INFO:
Date:
Wednesday 12 December, 2019
Event:
Uefa Champions League
Team: Real Madrid vs Club Brugge
